Capstone Mission and Goals
I am a problem solver who utilizes diverse perspectives through context and relationships with others to produce solutions and reach my goals. I have created goals to further my professional development as a future clinician and achieve excellence as a student occupational therapist.
Mission
My mission is to continue to develop my professional persona and utilize my strengths to accomplish my goals. I will continue to learn how to communicate, network, and broaden my horizon to build confidence in myself as a student and a future clinician.
Overall Goals
OTD Program:
- I will obtain one or more academic grants/scholarships from AOTA and AOTF for the 2023-2024 school year.
- I will present a research project at OOTA and/or AOTA related to my capstone/areas of interest before December 2024.

1 Year Post Graduate:
- I will be a registered and licensed occupational therapist within one year of graduating.
- I will publish research related to my capstone/areas of interest within one year of graduating.

5 Year Post Graduate:
- I will work in an inpatient acute care setting to challenge my skills and enhance my learning within five years of graduating.
- I will have an outlined plan of creating my own private practice designed to aid adults in the community within five years of graduating.
Capstone Goals
Goal 1: By the end of my capstone experience, I will have at least three networking contacts at my site to help navigate the OT field as a new graduate.

Goal 2: By the end of my capstone experience, I will submit my capstone project to be published in Xavier University's capstone journal.

Goal 3: By the end of my capstone experience, I will have at least one mentor from my site that will help guide me through my OT practice as a new graduate.
